LED, LCD, Plasma: What Is The Difference?

There was a time when you just have to choose your favorite brand and visit the store to get the TV because they all were making similar products. But now the trends have turned as now, you have to go through a lot of brands and exploring through various models to find your perfect TV. Therefore, it is necessary that you should be informed about your choice of the LCD, LED, or Plasma before you enter the store. Though the initial stage of TVs only had CRT TVs which nowadays have vanished or either need TV Repair to show up, today we have multiple screen options for easy differentiating. However, most people do not understand the difference between LED, LCD, and Plasma.

One of the most common to see the screen is LCD. this type of screen is actually the front of the fluorescent backlight display which shows the pictures when light falls on the display area. The best part of these TVs is that they are very inexpensive flat screens but they are not good for watching perfect black experience and high frame rate videos.

Second, we have on our list are the LEDs which are similar to the LCD screens but the backlight which was fluorescent in LCDs was replaced with various LEDs. however, the use of LED helps in gaining better efficiency with lighter weight and better experience of blacks. Some of the major advantages of LEDs include slim size, less power consumption, greater response time, richer picture, and wide view angle. The only thing which can prevent you from investing in LEDs are the expensive costs as compared to LCDs and Plasmas.

Last we have in our bucket are the plasma TVs which are made with gas cells that emit lights sandwiched between two sheets of the glass. The best part of plasma is that they do not need any external light to display and they can also show great depth with black shades. But they have a glass panel that can create a glare when viewed during the daytime. They have great refresh rate and black depth but they are less energy efficient as compared to others.

However, in case of any issues or damages, all you need to do is type the brand name and search for TV repair near me to land for the nearest brand store or repair option for warranty outdated TVs. Rest it is completely your choice and budget that can alter your decision to invest in LED, LCD or Plasma.
